Schedules

Schedules let you tell customers when each of your locations is open for business. When a customer scans your QR code and views your menu, they can see your operating hours — helping them know when to visit or place an order.

Why schedules matter

A clear schedule builds trust with your customers. They can check your hours before making the trip, and they know exactly when they can expect to order from you. This is especially important for food trucks and market stalls that may not operate every day.

Creating a schedule

  1. Navigate to Schedule in the side menu.
  2. Click Add Schedule or edit an existing one.
  3. For each day of the week, set:
    • Opening Time — when you start taking orders
    • Closing Time — when you stop taking orders
  4. Leave a day blank or toggle it off if you're closed that day.
  5. Click Save.
tip

If your hours are the same Monday through Friday, set up your weekday hours first, then adjust the weekend separately. This keeps your schedule clean and easy to maintain.

Schedule format

Each schedule is organised by day of the week. For every operating day, you define a simple time range:

FieldDescriptionExample
DayDay of the weekMonday
Opening TimeWhen you open9:00 AM
Closing TimeWhen you close9:00 PM
note

Schedules use a single opening and closing time per day. If you close during the middle of the day (e.g., between lunch and dinner service), set your opening time to when you first open and your closing time to when you finish for the day.

Linking schedules to locations

Once you've created a schedule, you assign it to one or more of your locations. Each location can have its own schedule, which makes it easy to manage different hours for different spots.

For example:

  • Your main restaurant might be open Tuesday to Sunday, 11 AM to 10 PM.
  • Your weekend market truck might only operate Saturday and Sunday, 8 AM to 3 PM.

To assign a schedule:

  1. Go to the location you want to update.
  2. Select the schedule from the available options.
  3. Save your changes.

What customers see

When customers scan your QR code and open your menu, your schedule is displayed alongside your business information. They can see:

  • Which days you're open
  • Your opening and closing times for each day

This helps set expectations and reduces missed visits.

info

Keeping your schedule up to date is important. If your hours change for holidays, events, or seasonal shifts, update your schedule in BMS so customers always have accurate information.

Tips for managing schedules

  • Seasonal changes — update your schedule when your hours shift for summer, winter, or holiday periods.
  • Special events — if you're operating at a one-off event, temporarily adjust your schedule to reflect the event hours.
  • Multiple locations — create separate schedules for each location so customers always see the right hours for the spot they're visiting.
